Laser Technology and Applications in Gynaecology :
The term ‘ laser ’ is an acronym for Light Amplifi cation by
Stimulated Emission of Radiation. Lasers are commonly
described by the emitted wavelength, which determines
the color of the light, as well as the active lasing medium.
Currently, over 40 types of lasers have been developed with
a wide range of both industrial and medical uses.
Clinical effect of low intensity laser physiotherapy on vaginitis
Objective To explore the clinical effects of low intensity laser in treating
Vaginitis thods 60 patients from January to July 2018 of gynecological clinic in our
hospital were selected as study object and divided into observation group and
control group according to random numbers principle, each group was 30
cases.Patients in control group were given metronidazole suppositories, while
patients in observation group were given low intensity laser on the basis of control
group. After continue treatment for 10 days, the improvement situation of clinical
symptoms, clinical effects and recurrence rate after treatment for 6 months in two
groups were compared. Results In observation group,3 cases with leukorrhagia,4
cases with colpalgia,2 cases felt vagina burning sensation and 2 cases with vaginal
wall red congestion after treatment, which was respectively 10,12,11 and 8 cases in
control group All clinical symptoms or positive rate of sign in observation group were
obvious lower than those in control group, and the difference was statistical
significance PO.05.The treatment effective rate in observation group was
96.7%,which was higher than 76.7% in control group, the difference was statistical
significance P0.05.After treatment for 6 months, the recurrence rate in observation
group was 6.7%,which was lower than 43.3% in control group, the difference was
statistical significance PO.05.Conclusion Using low intensity laser in treating vaginitis
can obviously improve clinical symptoms, enhance clinical effects, decrease
recurrence rate and with any obvious adverse effects. It is worthy to popularize in
clinic.
With the development of science and technology, more and more high-tech
means have been incorporated into clinical treatment. The laser has good
unidirectionality and good directionality.Good coherence and energy concentration.
The thermal effect of a strong laser can cause a sharp rise in the temperature of the
tissue at the irradiation site and gasification [1]. Low intensity laser photo
The local temperature rise caused by the shot does not exceed 0.75 °C, which will
not directly cause irreversible damage to the tissue. It is characterized by low output
energy and no light heat. The effect, also known as weak laser or low power laser, low
energy laser, has a wide range of applications in medicine and is often used for
non-surgical treatment. Vaginitis is a common vaginal infection in women of
childbearing age. In severe cases, it can damage the body's immune system, causing
infertility, premature birth,Fetal malformations, etc. Although there are many types
of drugs currently being treated, many of them have poor efficacy and long course of
treatment, which is difficult to cure. This study uses low intensity
Laser combined with drug treatment of some vaginitis, the effect is reported below.
- General Information
Sixty patients with vaginitis admitted to the gynaecological clinic of our hospital
from January to July 2018 were selected as subjects. Hospital Medical Ethics
Committee The committee approved and all participants gave informed consent.
Vaginitis diagnostic criteria 1.vaginal secretions are grayish white, sticky and uniform
2.ammonia test yang Sexual 3.vaginal pH value of 4.5, 4.was found to be positive for
secretion clue cells. Among the above four criteria, more than three can be
diagnosed, but the fourth is mandatory.Diagnostic criteria are required. The patient's
age ranged from 23 to 67 years, with an average of 35.34.8 years of disease ranging
from 1 to 14 months, with an average of 4.51.3 months. Trichomonas vaginitis 28
For example, 19 cases of senile vaginitis, 13 cases of non-specific vaginitis clinical
symptoms mainly increased vaginal discharge, vaginal burning, itching vaginal wall
redness and swelling Blood and so on. According to the principle of random number,
60 patients were divided into observation group and control group, 30 cases each.
Age distribution, etiology, course of disease, clinical symptoms
In comparison, the difference was not statistically significant (P0.05), which was
comparable.

week, for a total of two courses of treatment for 10 days.
1.3 Observation indicators and criteria [9]
The improvement of clinical symptoms, clinical efficacy and recurrence rate within 6
months after treatment were compared between the two groups. The clinical
efficacy criteria were cured as follows, symptoms and signs disappeared, there was
no inflammation in the vulva and vagina, the secretion traits improved normally,
symptoms and signs were significantly relieved, vulva and vaginal inflammation
Significantly reduce the ineffectiveness, no change in symptoms and signs after
treatment, vulvar, vaginal inflammation and secretion traits have not been alleviated
or even aggravated. Effectiveness = recovery + number of cases improved by 100%.
1.4 statistical analysis
The data were analyzed by SPSS20.0 statistical software. The count data was
expressed as %. The comparison between groups was performed by 2 test. The
difference was statistically significant at P0.05.

(P<0.05).
3 Discussion
Vaginitis is a common infectious disease in women of childbearing age. Under normal
circumstances, the female vagina is weakly acidic and has a natural defense function.
When this disease prevention system is destroyed, it is easy to cause vaginitis, and it
is difficult to cure and easy to relapse [10]. There are many causes of vaginitis, so the
vagina The classification of inflammation is also more complicated, the most
common are bacterial vaginitis, trichomonas vaginitis, fungal vaginitis, senile vaginitis
and aerobic bacteria Vaginitis, etc. At present, there is no conventional method for
completely effective treatment, so it is advocated to adopt comprehensive treatment
during treatment.
Treatment.
The current treatment methods mainly use topical medication, such as washing the
vagina with an acidic solution, using metronidazole suppository, Fuyanling capsule,
diethylstilbestrol tablet
Fill the vagina, etc. but long-term use of antibiotics can lead to dysbacteriosis, and
there are side effects. Laser thermal effect has certain electromagnetic effect
The heat and energy should be supplied to the body through heat supply, and the
rate of energy supply is lower than the heat dissipation capacity of the tissue [15].
After the heat is absorbed through the skin,It can promote and improve the blood
circulation of deep tissues and the nutrient metabolism of tissue cells, improve the
activity of tissues and cells, and improve the immune function of the body. Can in
order to play a role in promoting blood circulation, analgesia, anti-inflammatory,
swelling. In addition, the laser also has the characteristics of high energy density, and
is activated after being irradiated. The molecules of the molecule store the laser
energy for sustained slow photobiological effects.
The most popular argument for the biological effects of low-intensity lasers is the
free radical mechanism. A large number of experiments have confirmed that
low-intensity lasers can induce production.
Free radicals. Low-intensity lasers do not destroy lesions with high energy, activate
human blood proteins through specific wavelengths, and generate antiviral
substances.Promotes energy metabolism and microcirculation, reduces inflammatory
exudate, and promotes tissue repair. Simultaneously by activating the activity of
superoxide dismutase in red blood cells and It promotes the secretion of
glucocorticoids such as cyclic adenosine monophosphate and has antibacterial and
anti-inflammatory effects and regulates cellular immunity.
The results of this study showed that the improvement of clinical symptoms and
clinical treatment efficiency of the observation group were significantly higher than
that of the control group, and the recurrence rate was lower than that of the control
group.
According to the group, the laser has great advantages in the treatment of vaginitis.
The reason may be that laser irradiation increases cytochrome oxidase and
The activity of intracellular cyclic tricarboxylase enhances the activity of the DNA
RNA protein system and promotes the proliferation and proliferation of vaginal
epithelial cells. The injection changes the internal and external environment of the
cells, and the vaginal epithelial cells increase the rate of synthesis of glycogen, and
the phagocytic ability of the white blood cells is enhanced. The pH is lowered, which
increases the resistance of the vagina.
In summary, the use of low-intensity laser therapy for vaginitis can significantly
improve clinical symptoms, improve clinical efficacy, reduce recurrence rate, and no
obvious side effects, which is worthy of clinical application.
